Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, is the flagship unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of India’s largest public sector steel enterprises. Established in 1955 with technical collaboration from the former USSR, the plant began production in 1959 and has since grown into a world-class integrated steel facility.
BSP is renowned for producing high-quality steel products, including rails, structural steel, plates, wire rods, and merchant products. With a strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability, the plant has implemented advanced technologies to enhance production and reduce environmental impact.
